A Special Fourth of July Message from Our President
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
As we gather with family, friends, and loved ones this Fourth of July, this year’s celebration holds a very special meaning. Today, we commemorate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s independence—250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the beginning of the American story we continue to write together.
The Fourth of July has always been about more than fireworks and celebrations. It is a time to be thankful—for our freedoms, for those who have served and sacrificed, and for the communities we are fortunate to call home.
Here in Pearl River County, and perhaps your county, I am continually reminded of what makes our communities so special. It is our people. It is the neighbor who helps a neighbor, the organizations that serve those in need, and the individuals who quietly give their time and talents to make life better for others.
For 250 years, America has grown, changed, faced challenges, and continued moving forward. As we celebrate this historic milestone, I hope we will also look toward the future and ask ourselves what we can do, together, to leave our communities stronger for the generations who will follow us.
On behalf of all of us at the Lower Pearl River Valley Foundation, I wish you and your family a safe, joyful, and blessed Fourth of July. May your day be filled with laughter, good food, family, and gratitude for the country and community we are proud to call home.
Happy 250th Birthday, America, and Happy Independence Day!
Warmest wishes,

On this Father's Day, we pause to honor and celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors, and father figures whose love, guidance, sacrifice, and strength help shape our families and communities.
A father's influence extends far beyond providing for his family. Through his example, he teaches integrity, perseverance, compassion, and responsibility. The lessons fathers pass down often become the foundation upon which future generations build their lives.
Today, we recognize the countless men throughout the Lower Pearl River Valley who work tirelessly to support their families, encourage their children, and serve as role models in their homes, churches, schools, and communities. Your dedication and commitment make a lasting difference and help strengthen the fabric of our region.
Happy Father's Day!

June 19, 2026
On this Juneteenth, we join communities across our nation in commemorating a pivotal moment in American history—the day when the final enslaved African Americans in Texas learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.
Juneteenth is both a celebration and a reflection. It reminds us of the enduring pursuit of liberty, equality, and opportunity for all people. It is a time to honor the resilience, strength, and contributions of African Americans whose sacrifices and achievements have helped shape our communities and our nation.
At the Lower Pearl River Valley Foundation, we remain committed to fostering opportunities that strengthen education, improve quality of life, and support the well-being of the communities we serve. The principles represented by Juneteenth—hope, perseverance, and the promise of a brighter future—align closely with our mission to invest in people and create pathways for success.
As we reflect on our shared history, may we also renew our commitment to building communities where every individual has the opportunity to thrive, contribute, and achieve their fullest potential.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff of the Lower Pearl River Valley Foundation, I wish you and your family a meaningful and inspiring Juneteenth.
Sincerely,
