As we celebrate this Fourth of July, I invite you to reflect on the values that unite us as a nation—freedom, resilience, and the unwavering spirit of community.
Independence Day is more than fireworks and festivities. It is a reminder of the sacrifices made to secure our liberties and the responsibility we all share in building a more just and equitable society. At the Lower Pearl River Valley Foundation, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that uplift our communities, foster opportunity, and strengthen the fabric of our region.
May this day bring you joy, rest, and pride in the progress we continue to make together. On behalf of our Board and staff, I wish you and your loved ones a safe and meaningful Independence Day.
With gratitude and hope,

Today, we honor Juneteenth—a powerful reminder of our nation's journey toward justice and freedom. On this day in 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas finally received word of their freedom. Juneteenth stands as both a celebration of liberation and a call to continue the work of equity and inclusion.
At the Lower Pearl River Valley Foundation, we recognize that freedom is not only a historical milestone, but a living promise we must strive to uphold every day. We remain committed to supporting initiatives that uplift underserved communities, promote access to opportunity, and foster unity across racial and cultural lines.
As we commemorate this important day, let us reflect on our shared history, honor the resilience of Black Americans, and recommit ourselves to building a future rooted in dignity, justice, and equality for all.
With respect and solidarity,

On this special day, we pause to honor the fathers, grandfathers, father figures, and mentors who shape our lives and communities with quiet strength, steadfast dedication, and unconditional love.
Fathers play a vital role—not only in their families—but also in the broader fabric of our society. Their guidance, patience, and example help build resilient children, strong families, and thriving communities. Whether through their words or their actions, fathers lead with purpose and leave lasting legacies.
To all the fathers and those who fill that role—thank you. Thank you for your sacrifices, your presence, and your unwavering support. May you feel deeply appreciated today and every day.
Happy Father’s Day from all of us at the Lower Pearl River Valley Foundation.
Warm regards,
