As we enter this holiday season, I extend my warmest wishes to you and your families. This time of year encourages us to pause, reflect, and embrace the spirit of hope, gratitude, and compassion. These values feel especially significant as our nation continues to navigate complex trials—economic pressures, social challenges, and the uncertainty that affects families across every community.
In moments like these, I am reminded of the enduring truth expressed by American writer Hamilton Wright Mabie, who beautifully captured the heart of the holiday season with the words: "Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love." Although often associated with Christmas, Mabie’s sentiment transcends any one tradition and speaks to a universal human connection—our shared responsibility to uplift one another through grace, unity, and goodwill.
Here in Pearl River County, that “conspiracy of love” is not merely a hopeful idea—it is a lived reality. Our community continues to show extraordinary resilience, anchored by neighbors who support one another and by organizations devoted to meeting the needs of our most vulnerable.
Our grantees and partners play a vital role in this work. They nourish families facing food insecurity, strengthen education for our children, provide care and dignity to our elderly, and address injustices that burden our communities. They offer comfort and protection to homeless animals who depend on our collective compassion. Their dedication reflects the very best of who we are—reminding us that community is not defined by geography, but by shared purpose and care.
During this season of giving, I want to express my deepest gratitude to these organizations and to every individual whose commitment brings hope to others. Your service—quiet, steady, and profound—creates real and lasting change.
As we look toward a new year, let us continue to walk together in unity, extend kindness generously, and build bridges where divisions may arise. When we stand as one community, we demonstrate the power of compassion and the possibility of a brighter future for all.
On behalf of the Lower Pearl River Valley Foundation, I wish you a blessed holiday season filled with peace, joy, and renewed hope.
Warm regards,

On this Labor Day, we pause to honor the hard work, dedication, and resilience of the American workforce. Here in our community, we are reminded daily of the strength, skill, and determination of the men and women who make our towns thrive.
Labor Day is not only a celebration of the past achievements of working people but also a reminder of the importance of dignity, fairness, and opportunity in the workplace. It is through the contributions of workers—teachers, first responders, healthcare professionals, business owners, public servants, and so many others—that we continue to build a brighter and stronger future for our families and our region.
As we celebrate this holiday, let us also extend gratitude to those whose efforts often go unseen but whose work is vital to our collective well-being. May this day bring rest, reflection, and appreciation for the values of perseverance and community that Labor Day represents.
On behalf of the Lower Pearl River Valley Foundation, I wish you and your loved ones a safe and meaningful Labor Day.
Sincerely,
Clyde Dease, Jr.
